• In 2005, HYAD started lobbying provincial  and local government and the general public in support of HYAD's vision.

• By working jointly with the North Vancouver School Board and the City of North Vancouver, HYAD secured a site in 2010.

• Architectural plans were completed for a 14-unit residence.

• Parents have contributed financially to the project and raised funds and awareness with smaller scale local fundraisers.

• HYAD executives are currently mentoring other groups in Vancouver that want to build similar housing complexes.
